Public versus Private University

University is the place where you can meet new things and experience new life that is different from your school; it’s another level, another step of your life. We can distinguish it into 2 main types of university which are private and public. And that’s where our curiosity came from. There’re similarities and differences in private and public university, but whether you’re in public or private university you should be contented of where you belong. To gain that information, we have to ask   many students who study in both type of university about how they think about their university and how they like it, so we made a survey to ask them.

First, we just want you to know the meaning of both type. A public university is a university that is predominantly funded by public means through a national or sub national government, as opposed to private universities. A national university may or may not be considered a public university, depending on regions. And Private universities are not operated by governments though they may or may not receive funding (depending upon the nation and university). Depending on the region, private universities may be subject to government regulation. Private universities are common in some countries but do not exist in others. For examples, public University in Thailand are Chulalongkorn University, Thammasart University, Silpakorn University, etc. And private university are Bangkok University, Abac, so on.

As I’ve mentioned above, we made a questionnaire to ask students about their own universities. Our questions are included in what they think about their university, how do they like their faculty, how’s the activities, how’s university treat them, how’s the environment and atmosphere, how do they come to university, gadgets in university, questions about their friends, their teachers, etc. to find out   about their behavior and thought of   their universities.
