Checkpoint: Reflections on Nutrition

    I learned and enjoyed all of the assignments of this course in the world of Human
Nutrition. They all were very interesting and informative on learning the concepts
of a healthy and balanced diet, and developing strategies to meet the changing nutritional
ways that humans go through in the various stages of life from puberty to adulthood.
    Reflecting on the subjects fundamentals from week 1 through 9 about Digestion processes,
Nutrients and their absorption and functions to health benefits of specific nutrients part one,
and part two, the Impact of Water; Vitamins and Minerals, Weight management and Exercise,
Nutrition throughout the stages of a person’s life by age, gender, race, or personal habits, and
Awareness of Global and Domestic nutrition of food-borne illnesses and under nutrition, to last
but not least developing a personal lifelong nutrition and exercise plan.
    What I have learned about in all of these assignments that has affected my life in terms of
my overall health and nutritional habits along with personal experimentation is how to
establish and consume foods that will enhance my body’s ability to cope with the reality of every
day life. By improving my goals to living longer with exercise and quality food consumptions
to live a happier and more healthier lifestyle. By using these techniques it takes a required
amount of discipline and time to establish a healthy eating plan or adequate physical activities
to master oneself to achieve better health conditions from illness or disease.
    Drawing basic conclusions and getting knowledge about healthy eating and exercise plans
helped me to focus on what constitutes good health which is the freedom to pursue all the things in
life that are important to live for and poor health conditions will not. Poor health limits what can
