Role of Stakeholder
Stakeholders are important to any organization and helps with the growth within the organization. It is important to understand the roles and the influence that a stakeholder has in implementing a quality management process. This paper will discuss stakeholders and the roles they play in implementing a quality management process and use an organization as examples.
To understand the role a stakeholder plays in implementing a quality management process it is important to understand what it means and what a stakeholder is. A stakeholder can be defined as a person, group, or organization that may have either a direct or indirect stake in an organization and can be affected by the actions, objectives, and policies of the organization or have an affect on the actions, objectives and policies an organization may take (Business Dictionary, 2012). Examples of a stakeholder are customers, employees, and owners just to name a few.
Quality management can be defined as a “ principles that ensures quality in a company’s products and services”(Taylor 1999-2012). The main goal of using quality management process to solving problems that an organization may have is to create a high quality and a high performing product or a serve that will go above and beyond the expectations of a customer. For this reason the implementation of a quality management process is important to organizations for several different reasons.
Once the importance of quality management is understood it is important to know how to implement a quality management process. For this implementation to be a successful one it is important to know who the stakeholders are and how manage them and be sure to address the needs of the stakeholders.
