The film Runaway Jury is an exceptional suspense thriller with a compelling surprise ending. This movie has an all star cast that directors in Hollywood would drool over. The cast includes Rachel Weisz who portrays Marlee, a woman with a powerful agenda that is fueled by a fiery will. She is determined to accomplish her goal no matter what obstacles are placed in her path. Weisz also has the physical appearance of a woman who could stop traffic with her flawless beauty. John Cusack is the male protagonist Nick Easter. Cusack plays his role with such a clever passion that he steals the movie. Easter is a man like Marlee who has a purpose that will not be denied at any cost. Easter is a jack of all trades who can persuade anyone to be sympathetic to his cause. Easter achieves masterfully manipulating the other jurors without even their slightest bit of awareness to this fact. Gene Hackman is chosen for the role of Rankin Fitch. Fitch is the male antagonist in Runaway Jury who has a heart of pure ice. Gene’s performance is executed to perfection with complete malevolence and disregard. Fitch is a professional who is hired to utilize highly illegal methods to select and sway juries. Through these illegal practices his initial job is to create a jury that is comprised with individuals who are in agreement with the legal arguments of his employers. Dustin Hoffman plays Wendall Rohr, a moral prosecuting district attorney who has a finely tuned moral compass and posses the characteristics society craves in man who is designated to uphold justice. Hoffman proves his acting talents have a range that makes Brad Pitt jealous.
