SALVATION
Salvation is in many ways what we must achieve above all else during this lifetime. But what exactly is salvation? How do we achieve it? What happens if we do? If we don’t? I will try to find these answers in the following passages. Then again dealing with things of this nature one does not deal with an exact science. We can only hope to make a little sense of these things.
To start, what is salvation? Salvation is deliverance from the penalty of sin. What is the significance of sin? Apparently sin started first with Adam and Eve. That is where illness and natural disasters were also apparently started also. God then sent his only son to earth to die and pay for our sins. Jesus died on the cross and three days later ascended into heaven to the right hand of his father. Jesus’ death and resurrection were necessary for man to be saved. He died for mans sins so that man could possibly be saved and ascend to heaven.
Salvation is achieved by having faith in the eternal god. This means that one must have an unwavering faith in the lord. One must also do works for god. This means one must renounce their sins and live their life as true to the lord as possible. If one can renounce their sins and has an unwavering faith in the lord then it is possible to be saved but what happens if one does. Then they have the opportunity to go to heaven and spend eternity with the lord and other devoted followers. If one does not have any faith or does not renounce their sinful ways then they will spend all eternity in hell with the rest of the damned.
There are other ways that one can become saved it all depends on ones religion. The basic concept f all salvation is the same. We are not perfect and in order to insure our passage into the best afterlife we must be forgiven. In Hinduism one must achieve self realization to be reincarnated. In Buddhism one must follow the Noble Eightfold Path to stop suffering.
