Background
Personal Background
My name is Ruairi McErlean and I have recently taken up a position as Business Development Executive for Transport Training Services Ltd. I graduated from the University Of Ulster in 2007 with a degree in Transportation with Specialisms and have 3 year’s experience in Transport Planning.
Company Background and Job Role
The company that I have been recently employed with are Transport Training Services Ltd based outside Dundrod in Co Antrim. The company specialise in providing training for individuals and companies involved in road haulage, passenger transport and motor vehicle industries

Working as a Business Developer, the main duties of the role will be to increase sales of training courses to the target industries, identify areas of development for the company as well as analysing and reporting on competition within the industry sectors.
Introduction
The purpose of this assignment is to evaluate what makes an effective team. The assignment will draw on the appropriate models as well as relevant literature to evaluate the subject area. Within the assignment I will also draw on my own personal experience of working in a team and analyse the effectiveness of that specific team.
The team that I will be analysing will be my project team from my previous role within an engineering consultancy firm. The specific team that I was a member of was the Transport Planning department.
