The Terriorist

Oh Mom, thought Billy, turning away from the stroller and wrapping himself around the package. The package exploded.”   As you read that line you might be wondering what book it’s coming from. Well the book itself is excellent. I recommend you read it. It is called the Terrorist. This book by Caroline B. Cooney shows a new turn to Terrorism. It takes it from a child’s point of view. A child named Billy.

To start off the summery of this book let me tell you about the 2 main characters.   First there is Billy. Although Billy is only in the book for a short time you as the reader learn to love him. He seems like the perfect son to keep you laughing and a fun, wonderful little brother.   He is little with a young boyish look to him.   His name is Billy Williams and he has a paper route. He lives in London England. His father’s job had to transfer him there. Now you might think if your parents all of a sudden told you that you had to pick up and move to an new Country you might be a little rude towards that certain place. No not Billy. He picks up and loves England. I mean a new place to explore, everything is good. Some people think Billy is a little weird. He collects bricks from certain places and makes list of everything you can think of.   Another thing he does that you might find weird is that he gets people like his grandma to send him American Junk food so he can sell it to his friends. Now that just seems weird to me but maybe they don’t have good junk food in England! Now it’s Laura’s turn. She is your normal older sister. She makes things out to be more than they ever are. You know the usual. She is the opposite from Billy. Billy just goes with the flow Laura tries everything to hard. She tries extremely hard to make friends, she does though. She also tries to fit in. Her and her brother go to this Academy for people from other countries. And they seem to have thoughts on Americans, such as we have no discipline, stuck-up, etc…. She is just a lonely teen...
