The Differences Between Entrepreneurship And Working For Others

Employees and entrepreneurs are two different individuals who make up the business world.
Neither one is better than the other; they are simply classified as one is a risk taker and likes the business side, where as the other would like stability and a chance to just perform the job he or she likes without being involved in the business end. In the following I will explain in more detail

Employees believe there is security in working for others not because they can’t handle or are incapable of entrepreneurship  
Employees look for a job after the business is created. Working for an established company where one could grow and apply their knowledge in a controlled working environment. The term controlled meaning the company is more stable where as a new business starting out, is unpredictable, less secure with having a job in 5 months, or the ability to advance in position.

Benefits of being an employee:

• Stability
• Stable pay
• Stable benefits
• Vacation
• Health care
• Paid holidays
• Weekends off
• Key word Stability

They want health benefits, a steady paycheck, an IRA, a regular vacation and a retirement plan. They believe they would always have a job and a good steady income.

Downs for being an employee:

• More time to move up
• Fear of layoff or termination
• Conflicts with fellow employees
• Undesirable work culture
• Horrible boss
• Longer to receive payout
• Working to make someone else rich  
Entrepreneurs look for an opportunity before the business exists. For entrepreneurs it could be a new innovative product idea, expansion to an existing business “Franchise”, or consulting to other businesses with more efficient methods to their work or products.
