Thesis Statement and Introductory Paragraph

The First 48
Thesis:
The First 48 is a significantly relevant form of social media that educates individuals on the importance of finding other ways to solve disputes and differences besides through violent acts and how important it is for members of communities that have information on crimes to come forth.
Introduction Paragraph:
The first 48 is a very passionate show that portrays the lives of families that have been affected by violent acts and how their lives have changed as a result of it. Not only are the lives and families of the victims affected, but also the lives and families of the person committing the crimes as well. The families of murdered victims’ no longer get to see their loved ones and the families of the perpetrator, while still able to see their loved ones, they no longer have that sense of freedom while doing so and most likely, never will. Even though the suspect is still alive and can still have some type of contact with their families, the life they end up living being incarcerated is no life compared to having your freedom. The First 48’s ulterior motive is to get people to see what violence does to people and how deeply people are affected by the selfish actions of people who decide to takes someone’s life. The show touches the lives, hearts, and souls of some of the viewers, and should also let the people know that just as important as it is for them to find alternate solutions to solving problems, confrontations, or differences, that it is just as important for people that are withholding information related to any crime to come forth and try to help capture the suspect because you would want someone to do the exact thing if you or a member of your family were the victim. Seeing the way people suffer from losing their loved ones should make anyone think twice about committing these types of crimes or providing information to help solve a case.
