1. Someone tells you something, anything, how do you decide that the thing they are telling you is the truth?
Well, I would question it from known information whether the validity could bring truth from the person that is telling it to me. I would also question if the given known information could be either true or false. If it does not compute, I would neither believe nor deny that the person telling it to me is speaking the truth. An example could be when one of my mother’s friends just tried and failed to get me to believe the religious Christian belief. I questioned her because no one truly knows where the Bible came from or even have proof that there is even a higher being. The only proof that can bring some truth is from the discoveries of the first Bible or the body of Jesus Christ himself. Other than that, I remain to not believe nor deny of the truth of this.
2. What is it that might make you think that you are being lied to?
There are certain aspects to look for in a person to see if they are lying to me. I would look if they are looking away or hesitating to speak. It would show signs that they are nervous when speaking to me. And I would prepare to hear what they have to say if it is bad or if they lied to me. Sometimes, you just know the person enough that you trust them, and you become blind by the fact that they lied to you. It’s very hard to find trust nowadays. An example could be the fact that my sister went into my room, and when she came back out, I asked her why she was in my room. She answered me by pausing for a little bit showing some hesitation in answering and finally answered. So after searching my room, I found that I had lost some money in my money box, but I let it go because it’s the bond that we had. It was only once, so it was fine.
