        Planning is one of the basic functions of management. Planning is a very important function of management and should be performed with highest importance in the organization. It cannot be undermined because all other functions of management such as organizing, controlling and leading depends on the nature and manner in which the planning function is performed. “No plan is going to cover every challenge that arises in the workplace.
