Why I Believe I Believe In God

Everyone has different opinions about God however according to me all these opinions should be highly respected but in reality nothing of this sort happens. One of the most recent events concerning the existence of God has been the bus advertisements. At first, it was a banner saying there was no God and then the Christian party replied to that ad with their own advertisement saying that there is a God.   Why don’t these people understand that forcing people to believe/not believe in God won’t make them join? People only believe what they think is right and nothing can make them change that.
I believe in God because I was brought up to respect and have full faith in God. If I was to choose all over again then I would still stick with God because it’s good to have someone who you can trust in and confide in. When everything seems bad, then you know that there is someone out there who is going to take care of you. The main reason why most people believe in God is for comfort; having the sense that the bad times will pass and there is someone who is going to take care of it. Sometimes, people become so reluctant on God that they stop trying, and believe that God will take care of everything. Life is like a job interview... you have to impress the boss (God) to get what you want, but if the boss thinks that you’re not good enough then you’ll have to keep trying and work even harder to fulfil all those things that you aren’t as brilliant at.
I also believe that there is only one God even though he takes the form of many other Gods in different cultures. If we trace our family tree back a very long time ago then we will discover that we are all related to each other. When the world was formed and the original Pangaea was there, everyone was one race, one religion, and united. However as the years passed, Pangaea grew apart, and so did the people, as they grew up they altered the beliefs about God to fit into their surroundings. The stories were also told...
