There are always topics of conversation that people tend to avoid in certain situations such as politics, money and religion. Religion especially can be a hot button for most people. Many individuals feel strongly when it comes to their beliefs and those that do not have strong religious beliefs can dislike talking about it. I have been one of those people before always afraid that people would push their own beliefs onto me. Every child is raised to believe one thing or another and I am not different. Christianity is a very popular and wide spread religion that I have wanted to explore because I thought it would be the closest to what I would agree with. However, I was curious to know what else is out there. Visiting a church and giving an interview on Christianity was very interesting. It made me think more about the world religions and what religion I learned the most about. Judaism was one religion I knew nothing about before and now I can even relate it to Christianity.
One of the most interesting factors of religion is that out of one religion several can be developed. Even with Christianity, its origins are from Judaism have given birth to other religious sects (Sprunger). Christianity includes Catholics, Protestants, and Orthodox religious denominations. It was found by Jesus Christ in 30AD. Christians believe in one God and that Jesus Christ is the son of God. The big picture is that everyone is born into sin and with that sin human beings have been separate from God. Jesus Christ was born through the miracle of God from the Virgin Mary. It was when Jesus was about thirty that he began ministry. He spent the rest of his life spreading his messages through teachings and parables. The message he preached was of love and forgiveness and many people began to follow him. His followers just continued to grow and the Jews became very threatened. In...
