THUNDERSTORMS
Thunderstorms are made up of wind, rain, thunder and lightning. Thunder is caused when two clouds crash into eachother and form a loud bang. Lightning is when a flash of electricity hits the ground. Thunder does not cause any damage as it is only a sound. Lightning, however, can do severe damage and even cause death. If lightning hits a house, it may cause a fire. Electricution may occur if lightning strikes a human being or an animal. The worst type of thunderstorms are hurricanes. Hurricanes consist of very strong winds, which are capable of tearing off roofs of houses and knocking down trees. Heavy rain, loud thunder and bright lightning also take part in hurricanes.
